At Engler's Restaurant in the historic Ingelheim wine cellar, we live by an attitude that we call FROM KITCHEN TO HEART. We are hosts with deep conviction.

The historic wine cellar

The Ingelheim Wine Cellar is the heart of our identity. Dining in its historic vaulted cellar is a truly unique experience. The majestic walls, steeped in history, offer an elegant ambiance that provides the perfect setting for intimate dinners as well as large celebrations and conferences.

As an event location, the Winzerkeller uniquely combines tradition and modern elegance – an extraordinary setting that will make your event stand out from others.

As a restaurant in one of Germany's leading wine regions, wine is our second passion. Our wine shop is a tribute to the local wine culture and brings together the best of the region. We are proud to present the top wines from 25 Ingelheim winemakers. Our sommeliers will be happy to advise you and find the perfect Rheinhessen wine to complement every dish.

I am Maximilian Engler

Born in Darmstadt and firmly rooted in Eltville since my sixth year of life.
Since 2019 I have been living my passion for gastronomy and have set myself the goal of bringing real German cuisine to the plate in a contemporary way and with heart.
With Engler's Restaurant in Ingelheim and the Forsthaus Heiligkreuz in Bingen, I run two establishments where quality, craftsmanship and hospitality are the focus.
I want to preserve traditions without stagnating – and show that German cuisine can be vibrant, diverse and modern.
Every day I work to strengthen German gastronomy culture and inspire people with honest enjoyment.
